The Design


The Design


Here I wanted to share about the processes that I've gone through during the early stages of making this game.

I have illustrated this concept piece as part on my spare time:


I liked the idea of building the world around this new category of drink called Ellibrium (A healthy, non-alcoholic drink).

And having that implementation in a sci-fi city. The main idea of the interaction is learning about Sully's (main character) situation and the people around him. Understand a hint of their struggles and that not everything is right or wrong. It's just more on preferences and perspectives.

Next, I started working on the logo and main character, as well as the overall mood of the game.

The sketch and color blocking processes were repeated for the other characters as well.

To conclude, I find that the design process is harder when you have a gameplay in mind.  It is very different and challenging to do game design compared to other types of creative medium out there. At the end of the day, I find that it is one of those things that is very fun to explore. ^^
